Cooked tomatoes Proven Prevent Development of cancer cells

Indonesia, cancer cells can remain for years in the body, until then triggered by a chemical attack to begin the process of guard cells of blood vessel walls. This mechanism allows blood cells to attack cancer cells and spread in the bloodstream.
But in laboratory experiments, nutrients found in cooked tomatoes capable of slow growth and even kill prostate cancer cells.
According to Dr. Mridula Chopra and his colleagues at the University of Portsmouth examined the effect of lycopene on cancer cells hijack the blood in the body. Lycopene is a substance that gives the red color in tomatoes. Dr. Chopra discovered that lycopene can reduce the ability of cancers to invade the blood that is still healthy.
In laboratory experiments, lycopene shown to interfere with the process so that cancer cells can not grow. The researchers explained that all the cancer cells use similar mechanisms to get food from a healthy blood supply.
According to researchers, is the most effective mechanisms to cope with prostate cancer due to lycopene accumulates in prostate tissue.
"This simple chemical reaction occurs at concentrations of lycopene that can be easily obtained by eating a tomato that has been cooked," said Dr. Chopra as reported by The Telegraph, Wednesday (01/02/2012).
The study, published in the British Journal of Nutrition is showing elevated levels of lycopene in the blood and semen samples in subjects who ate 400 grams of tomatoes processed food for two weeks.
Lycopene is present in all fruits and vegetables red, but most are found mainly in tomatoes. This substance is more readily available and becomes active when obtained from cooked tomatoes with a little cooking oil.
"I emphasize that our experiments conducted in the laboratory. We need further testing to confirm our findings. However, we found laboratory evidence is quite clear, namely to prevent the growth of some cancer cells can be done by eating tomatoes that have been cooked," said Dr. Chopra.
